Fort Bend ISD approved a turnaround plan for Hightower High School and improvement plans for 15 other schools to boost academic results. The district unanimously approved the turnaround plan, which is the more intensive intervention plan.

According to the district, the Hightower High School plan aims to improve academic performance through enhanced lessons, targeted support and post-graduation preparation.
