LIFE Houston and the City of Houston launched a formula drive as infant hunger rises in Harris County. The nonprofit, which calls itself Texas' only infant formula bank, said one in four babies in the county faces infant hunger. It also said more than 60% of its clients are Hispanic families.
Organizers are asking for unopened, unexpired Enfamil, Similac and specialty formulas. Families can complete a low-barrier application for help whether or not they receive WIC benefits.
