The city of Montgomery has awarded an $8.35 million contract for Water Plant No. 4. The City Council approved the deal with Schier Construction on September 22.

Plans call for a new well and a 500,000-gallon elevated storage tank near Old Plantersville and Old Dobbin Plantersville roads. The contract calls for substantial completion within 500 days after the city gives notice to proceed.

Montgomery plans to pay for the project with certificates of obligation issued in 2026.
