A list of six road projects in Keller, Roanoke and north Fort Worth has been updated. The list is not complete.
On US 377, median landscaping is planned from Johnson Road to the end of the median, with shrubs, grass, ground cover and trees. Keller City Council awarded the $261,605 bid to Central North Construction, and the project is funded by a Texas Department of Transportation Green Ribbon grant for highway medians. The bid was approved Oct. 6. On Basswood Boulevard, the city's Transportation and Public Works Department is resurfacing the road from Los Padres Trail to Denton Highway. The eastbound side has been paved, and work continues on the westbound side. The $4.7 million project is expected to finish by December 2026.
The second phase of Keller Hicks Road improvements includes a three-lane section from Park Vista Boulevard to Lauren Way, new street lights, sidewalks, drainage and a traffic signal at Woodland Springs Drive. Traffic is currently one-way west. Two-way traffic is likely to return if the final concrete lane and driveways are finished by December 2026, as expected. The $23.9 million project is expected to finish by spring 2027.
In Trophy Club, the town is building a roundabout at Bobcat Boulevard and Marshall Creek Drive near Byron Nelson High School, with new sidewalks and landscaping. Crews will begin concrete paving in early November. The Roanoke Police Department posted a traffic advisory as traffic increases on nearby residential streets and detour roads. The $4.5 million project is funded by the town and Denton County and is expected to finish by summer 2027.
