Water line break leaves Lufkin hotel district and truck stop without water

A water line break in Lufkin has shut off water to the hotel district and a truck stop, according to the City of Lufkin.

The city said the water department is working on a 16-inch water line break under FM 819 and College Drive, near the intersection of U.S. 59. The On The Road Truck stop and the hotel district are without water at this time, the city said.

The city advised drivers to take care in the area.
