Permian High School Theatre will stage "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" in the newly renovated Permian High School Auditorium. Performances are Thursday, November 5, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, November 7, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are available at mojotheatre.org.
The play is based on the novel by Mark Haddon and adapted for the stage by Simon Stephens. It follows Christopher Boone, a 15-year-old who begins to investigate the death of a neighbor's dog and ends up on an unexpected journey that reveals family secrets.
Director Scott Windham said the students have put significant time, talent and effort into the production. He said the show reflects months of preparation, collaboration and creative problem-solving by the actors and the student crew. The production is also the first theatrical show in the auditorium since its renovation.
