Ten Longview restaurants appear on Texas Monthly's "The Thousand-ish Best Restaurants in the State," the Longview News-Journal reported. The list includes longtime local favorites and newer additions to the city's dining scene.
The Longview picks include Ki'Mexico ETX, Leon's Steakhouse Saloon, Sunbird Barbecue, Lizzy's Diner and Fisherman's Market. The magazine described Sunbird Barbecue as one of the best barbecue joints in East Texas. Other Longview restaurants on the list are Goung Zhou Asian Bistro, Cafe Barron's, Evergreen Food Factory, Judd's Downtown and Cace's Kitchen.
Restaurants in Kilgore and Gilmer were also recognized, including Zen Kitchen Bakehouse & Craft Beverage Company, Jack Ryan's Steak and Chophouse and East TX Rust BBQ.
