The Woodlands Arts Council is accepting applications for its 2027 Student Art Scholarship Program. The program is open to graduating high school seniors in The Woodlands and Montgomery County and offers up to $8,000 in college scholarships. Applications opened November 5, 2026, and will be accepted through January 5, 2027.
Applicants must submit a portfolio of three original works in one of three categories: 2D Art, 3D Art, or Literary Art. The council said the program has run for 21 years and has awarded 294 scholarships totaling $517,800 to date. The council encouraged students to start preparing their portfolios early.
The council said creativity is useful in many fields, including the arts, education, engineering and business. Eligibility requirements, portfolio guidelines and application details are available on the Woodlands Arts Council website.
