Interfaith of The Woodlands has launched its annual Holiday GIVING Programs. The group said it serves more than 11,000 local individuals, families and seniors each year who need extra help during the holidays. Donors, volunteers and organizations can take part in several ways.
Through Adopt-a-Family, community members, businesses and groups can provide requested gifts for a local family's children. The Holiday Toy Drive asks for new, unwrapped toys, due by Friday, December 4. Drop-off sites include the Interfaith office, local fire stations, the office of Precinct 3 Commissioner Ritch Wheeler and the Kevin Brady Community Center and Library. For Gifts for Seniors, the cost is $50 per senior. Seniors can choose a Walmart, Amazon or Target gift card. Gift cards are due to Interfaith by 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2026.
The season ends with the Holiday GIVING Dinner and Carols by Candlelight, which Interfaith said more than 400 seniors attend. Participating families and seniors also receive food from the Interfaith Food Pantry and a clothing voucher from the Hand Me Up Shop. Waste Connections is supporting the program again through its annual Bike Build, which provides new bicycles for children. Missy Herndon, president and CEO of Interfaith, said the community's generosity "truly shines during the holiday season."
