The 17th annual Winnsboro Art & Wine Festival will be held Friday and Saturday, Nov. 6-7, in downtown Winnsboro. The Winnsboro Center for the Arts is hosting the event. Admission is free.

The festival will feature 40 artists and 11 wineries, along with food vendors and live music. Festival chair Cyndie Ewert said the artists must submit their work and be juried to take part. Each winery will set its own tasting prices. Four food trucks and other specialty food vendors are expected. The local high school jazz band will perform, and a karate demonstration is also planned.

Several downtown streets, including Market Street, will be closed to vehicle traffic during the festival. Ewert said the event typically draws between 3,000 and 5,000 visitors, depending on the weather, and attendance topped 3,600 last year. Hours are 1-7 p.m. Friday, with wineries open until 8 p.m., and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday.
