Veterans Day is Nov. 11, and schools in Yoakum will host events to honor veterans. Yoakum Junior High School's Veterans Day Program is set to start at 10:52 a.m.
Students will hear from Mark Cripe. Art projects will be on display, and an excerpt from "The White Table" will be read at the entrance. The school band will play "Star Spangled Banner," and Nick Castro will play "Taps."
Students are asked to wear red, white and blue. Visitors must show a valid photo identification when checking in at the school.
