The Pampa Harvesters, now 0-8 on the season, lost at Dumas on Friday night. Head coach Floyd White said the team dressed just 23 players, short of the 32 to 34 it normally expects to have available. Nine starters are out with injuries, and younger players have taken on larger roles.

White said the final score did not fully reflect how close the game was for much of the night. He pointed to a 76-yard near-touchdown pass from junior quarterback Jeryn Owens to sophomore Paxton Daniels early in the game as one of the team's best plays. White said Owens moved outside the pocket, which opened a route for Daniels.

The Harvesters return to Zach Thomas Stadium for their final home game of the season on Friday night against the Canyon Eagles, who are 5-3. The game is also Senior Night. Before kickoff, the school will honor football players, cheerleaders, athletic trainers and the film crew. Senior band members will be recognized at halftime.
