The Pampa City Commission held its final October meeting and heard public hearings on three substandard structures. Code Enforcer Jeff Kennedy recommended taking all three down. He said the house at 429 N. Dwight had lost its roof, allowing water to damage it, and that the city had been unable to reach an owner. He said the house at 616 N. Banks had water damage, buckling floors and no security, and that no owner had responded. For 933 S. Wells, Kennedy said city records showed no water service since the records were kept electronically, and that the floor collapsed while he was inside.
After each hearing closed with no further discussion, the commission voted to order a 30-day demolition order for each property: 429 N. Dwight, 616 N. Banks and 933 S. Wells.
The commission then opened a public hearing to take comments on a zoning variance request from Northridge Park LLC. The request would change the minimum required lot width in a Multi-Family zone from 50 feet to 45 feet for Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the development. The available text ends before the discussion and any vote on the request.
