Williamson County officials recently confirmed updates on several road projects in and around Georgetown. Work is ongoing on about 3.5 miles of RM 2243 (Hero Way) between 183A and Garey Park, which is set to run from 2026 to 2028 at a cost of $37 million. Chasco Constructors is doing the work.

Other projects are in design or early construction. The next phase of the RM 2243 widening, from 183A to Ronald Reagan Boulevard, is in design, with a revised schematic expected by summer 2028. Final design for the CR 175 reconstruction is expected in 2027, and construction on the CR 110 North extension began in early 2026.

At Hwy. 195 and Ronald Reagan Boulevard, the first northbound exit ramp opened Aug. 24. The engineer is addressing design options for the remaining three ramps, with a final schematic expected in fall 2027. Work on the Ronald Reagan Boulevard widening, Segment B, is expected to finish in late 2027.

The county also completed a reconstruction of CR 255, which has been renamed Tucker Parkway. A new two-lane road opened to drivers Aug. 24 between CR 254 and CR 289.
