Halloween at the Depot will run Friday, Oct. 30, and Saturday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 9 p.m. at 1210 Green Ave. The Friends of the Orange Depot are organizing the event, which follows a haunted event held the previous year.
Admission is $1 for children and $2 for adults. Visitors may go through the haunted house in costume and then enjoy candy and popcorn. A photo corner will be set up for Halloween pictures. Parents are encouraged to bring children.
Theatre students from West Orange-Stark High School, led by Director of Theatre Arts Bridget Palmer, will transform the depot's interior into the haunted house. More than 30 volunteers are involved, including actors, makeup artists and technical crew. The event will use eerie lighting, sound effects and makeup, according to the organizers. Volunteers listed include Rose Simar, Lila and President Stephen Speck, Diana Hill, George Bohn, Laura Dougharty, Jeanette Moore, Kacey Burnitt, Telisa Derosier and Pat Fisette.
