Clear Creek ISD officials presented progress on Clear Tech, the district's virtual program, at the board of trustees' Oct. 26 meeting. The program launched in early March.
Students complete asynchronous coursework aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) through the Texas Tech K-12 program. They are enrolled with Clear Creek ISD and connect to partner campuses, which include Clear Lake City Elementary, Creekside Intermediate and Clear Brook High School. A district news release from March 3 described the full-time, tuition-free model as suited to students with demanding sports or club schedules, homeschool families seeking flexible in-person support, and families looking for a non-traditional school day.
Officials said nearly 50 students are enrolled in Clear Tech. The report showed students in the program have passed their courses at a rate of at least 91% at the elementary, intermediate and high school levels. The application window for the spring semester has closed. Parents can find more information at www.cleartech.ccisd.net.
