The Groveton City Council adopted a proposed tax rate of .91, or 91 cents per $100 property valuation. The newspaper reported that the rate has not changed in three years.

The council also adopted the FY 2027 budget. It approved a resolution for the tax roll submitted by the local appraisal district.

In a related action, the council approved a resolution to exempt a portion of the valuation for Angel Daycare.
