First Baptist Church of Woodville's "Coats for Kids" program begins Thursday, Oct. 29, and runs through Jan. 17, 2027. The church's benevolence committee runs the outreach, which supplies coats to children in Tyler County who need them. A harsh winter is forecast.

Coats will be handed out on set dates: Oct. 29 through Nov. 17, Dec. 3 through Dec. 17, and Jan. 8 through Jan. 17, 2027. The service is open each Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the House of Hope, located next to the Woodville Post Office.

Benevolence Committee member Beverly Johnson said parents whose children need a coat should pick one up at the House of Hope. She asked that the child come along.
