Early voting for the Nov. 3, 2026 midterm general election began Monday in Tyler County. Residents can vote in races for U.S. Senate, U.S. House District 36, governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, state legislative seats, State Board of Education and several countywide offices.

According to figures the Texas Secretary of State released last Friday, a record 19,041,684 voters are registered for this election. That is more than half a million more than last November, an increase of 3%, the state said. In the first three days of early voting, 1,398 Tyler County residents cast ballots.

Early voting continues through Friday, Oct. 30, at the Tyler County Nutrition Center at 201 Willow in Woodville. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3. Most polls have shown Democrat James Talarico leading the U.S. Senate race by a thin margin, and polls have described the governor's race between Greg Abbott and Gina Hinojosa as tight.
