Vice President JD Vance is scheduled to speak at a midterm rally Thursday, Oct. 29, at JRJ Construction in Weatherford. Police in Weatherford are warning drivers to plan for road closures and traffic changes around the event.
Weatherford police said Ric Williamson Highway will be closed from Interstate 20 to Greenwood Road. Ranger Highway will be closed to through traffic between Greenwood Cutoff Road and Greenwood Road. On Mineral Wells Highway, eastbound traffic will be shifted to the inside lane.
The restrictions will be in place from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
