The Waco Plan Commission approved a 48-unit duplex development called The Pines at Waco last week. The project is planned on a 6.3-acre property across Speegleville Road from River Valley Middle School.

Renderings of the project were presented to the commission. Homes in the development would line a new street running from Speegleville Road to Sunnydale Drive.
