On Tuesday, the Angelina College Lady Roadrunners beat No. 14 Navarro College in a Region XIV conference quarterfinal at the Larry Phillips Family Sports Complex on the AC campus. Navarro led 1-0 at halftime. Aundrea Barreiro scored in the 64th minute to tie the game, and Navarro retook the lead in the 72nd minute. Beatriz Almeida tied it again three minutes later, and the match went to overtime.

Neither team scored in two overtime periods, so the game was decided by a penalty shootout. Goalkeeper Samuela Valeri stopped Navarro's final kick to give AC the win. The story said the team had faced questions earlier this season about whether it would make the postseason because of injuries.

On Friday in Athens, the Lady Roadrunners played No. 9 Trinity Valley Community College. The teams were scoreless through two overtime periods. TVCC won the game on penalty kicks, ending AC's postseason run.
