Frisco Pastor Keith Craft, founder of Elevate Life Church, called for stopping mosque expansion and urged Christians to take a stronger role in politics ahead of the midterm election. Asked in a video interview on the show Let's Talk Midterms whether Christians should call for a prohibition on mosque expansion, Craft answered, "100%."

Craft said his opposition to Islam is based on theology. He said Christians should speak firmly while controlling their anger. He also said mosques should not receive the same constitutional protections to build and practice their religion that churches have. Federal law prohibits local governments from discriminating on the basis of religion in zoning decisions.

Craft said his church develops male leaders and educates voters. He said Christians need to organize, support their churches and take part in elections. He said voters should weigh candidates against biblical values rather than personal likability. The interview also covered how Craft started his church in 2000. Earlier reporting said debate over mosque development in Frisco drew hours of public comment at City Hall.
