John Byrum, executive director of the Nueces River Authority (NRA), will retire Saturday, Oct. 31, after more than seven years leading the agency.
The NRA has leased land on Harbor Island from the Port of Corpus Christi for construction of a desalination plant.
Byrum formally announced his retirement in a letter, the story reports, following a year of preparation.
