Waller defeated George Ranch 37-13 on Thursday night at Guy K. Traylor Memorial Stadium in Rosenberg. The Longhorns finished the 2026 season 1-6 in District 23-6A and 3-7 overall. With the win, the Bulldogs are 4-3 in district play and will wait for the result of Cy-Springs' game against Cy-Ranch on Friday night. Both Cy-Springs and Waller were competing for fourth place in the standings.
Waller scored first on a 15-yard run by Baylor See after a 35-yard pass from T.K. Gaines. George Ranch tied the game 7-7 on a 65-yard touchdown from Tony Morrison to Daniel Johnson III, with 8:06 left in the first period. Waller then went on a 17-0 run and led 24-7 at halftime.
George Ranch first-year head coach Jomaul Mason said the plan was to run the ball and slow Waller's offense. "I wanted to make sure that all of my seniors played because that was important to me and them," Mason said. "We accomplished all of that."
