Tarrant County Republican Party Chairman Tim Davis said the party cannot take the county for granted. He said some voters only turn out when former President Donald Trump is on the ballot.
In an interview on Dallas Express's "Let's Talk Midterms" program, Davis said the party had sent more than a million text messages and was holding nine phone banks a week across the county. He said volunteers, candidates and churches are helping with the effort. He also discussed outreach to Latino voters and immigration policy.
Early voting in Texas runs through October 30, and Election Day is November 3.
