Arkansas High senior receiver Bralon Thompson has been named the Texarkana Gazette's Player of the Week. In a game against Hot Springs, he caught five passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns.
This season, Thompson has 53 catches for 1,154 yards and 11 touchdown receptions, according to the story. The Gazette said he has seven 100-yard receiving games this season. Head coach Jerry Littleton said Thompson keeps producing even though defenses plan for him. Littleton also said Thompson blocks and does other work that does not appear in the box score. "He's just a team player," Littleton said.
The Razorbacks are 4-4 overall and 3-2 in Conference 5A-South. Arkansas High travels to Pine Bluff on Friday.
