The city of Lockhart is accepting bids from contractors to build its long-awaited aquatic center, now that the design is complete. The Lockhart Post-Register reported that some major decisions remain before construction can begin.

The facility is planned to include three swimming pools and a retractable enclosure. It will also have features meant to let people swim beyond the traditional summer months.
