Houston City Council Members Edward Pollard and Tarsha Jackson are working with Hugs & Diapers, the Houston Health Department and the Texas Diaper Bank to host a community diaper drive this weekend. The event will offer free baby and adult diapers and other essential items to Houston-area families.
The distribution is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7, starting at 10 a.m. and continuing until supplies run out. It will be held at the Acres Homes Multi-Service Center, 6719 W. Montgomery Road.
The event builds on an earlier partnership between Pollard and Hugs & Diapers. Organizers said the items will be given out free of charge while supplies last, and residents who need diapers or other essential supplies are encouraged to attend.
