The Woodlands Township, with The Woodlands Fire Department, will hold its annual Veterans Day Tribute on Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 4 to 5 p.m. at The Woodlands Central Fire Station, 9951 Grogan's Mill Road. The ceremony will take place in the station's apparatus bay and will honor U.S. military veterans. The event will include a formal presentation of colors, musical performances and remarks from local dignitaries. Light refreshments will be provided.

The township will also collect care package items for shipment to military personnel. Community members may bring donations to the tribute and name their Village when they drop them off. The Village that contributes the most will receive a special recognition award. People who cannot attend the ceremony may drop off donations at the Township Town Hall, 2801 Technology Forest Boulevard, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., through Monday, Nov. 16. A list of recommended items is available from the township.

Limited parking, including accessible spaces, is available at the fire station. Details are posted at thewoodlandsparks.com/veteransday. The township said weather-related changes or postponements will be announced on the Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Facebook page.
