Wyatt Cornelius, a former Las Cruces educator and coach, was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison on Thursday, Nov. 5, according to KTSM. He had pleaded guilty to child sex crime charges.

Judge Richard M. Jacquez imposed the sentence after the defense and prosecution made their final arguments.
