Southwest AMBUCS has started its Gobble Wobble Turkey Sale ahead of Thanksgiving, according to the organization. The group said the sale brings the community together to support people in need and raises money for programs that support mobility and independence.
Donors who give $100 will receive a smoked turkey weighing 12 to 14 pounds, prepared by Clint & Sons. Orders of 10 or more turkeys qualify for discounts. Each purchase also helps provide a frozen turkey to a local family in need, the organization said. Proceeds support programs including AmTryke adaptive tricycles and scholarships for future therapists.
Pick-up and delivery for donors begins November 19. Turkeys can be picked up at the Westgate Mall, at the Southwest AMBUCS trailer.
