The City of Big Spring will conduct maintenance and testing on its emergency warning siren system on Friday, Nov. 6. According to city officials, the sirens will sound in short intervals between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. while crews check that the system is working properly.
Officials said the sirens are only part of a test and that the public does not need to take any action during that time. Sirens heard after 2 p.m. should not be considered part of the scheduled test.
