Deputies said the man was wanted in connection with a homicide last week. They said he held a rideshare driver at gunpoint and forced the driver to take him from Houston to Round Top in Fayette County.

The incident ended in an armed standoff near Round Top, according to the report. The man was found dead after the standoff.
