Edna, Ganado and Industrial all have a chance to make the playoffs with two weeks left in the season. All three play Friday night. Edna (6-2, 2-1) visits Hempstead (3-5, 2-1). Hempstead beat Palacios 42-32 in Week 9. It is the first meeting between the schools since 2015, when Edna won 38-31. Edna, Sweeny and Hempstead are currently tied for the final three playoff spots. Hempstead had not won a district game in six seasons before this year.

Ganado (5-3, 3-1) hosts Weimar (5-3, 2-2). Weimar has won two games in a row, including a 44-8 win over Bloomington in Week 9. Ganado beat Weimar 49-8 last season. Outside of losses to Boling and Shiner, Weimar has averaged 42.5 points per game.

Industrial (3-5, 2-2) hosts Brazos (6-3, 2-3). Brazos lost 21-17 to Boling in Week 9 and is currently behind Industrial for the final playoff spot. Industrial lost 35-27 to Brazos last season. The Brazos passing game has been a large part of its offense, and senior Jevan Dickerson has been its top playmaker.
