The Wilson County Elections Office said 15,815 early ballots were cast in the county ahead of the Nov. 3 elections. That is 38.6 percent of the county's 40,964 registered voters.

The story said the county's turnout is similar to turnout across Texas during the early voting period, which ran from Oct. 19 to Oct. 30.
