The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is asking drivers and others to watch out for people walking as evenings get darker. According to the agency, October and November are the two months when pedestrian crashes are most likely to happen in Texas.
TxDOT pointed to two factors: the end of daylight saving time, which makes evenings darker, and Halloween, which brings more people outside after dark. The agency said visibility and caution matter more during this time.
