Tarrant County Judge Tim O'Hare is running for a second term leading the county. He faces Alisa Simmons, who served as County Commissioner for Precinct 2 but did not seek reelection. Simmons has said that Republicans on the commissioners court silenced minorities through redistricting. Both were first elected to the court in 2022.

In June 2025, the county redrew its precinct lines in a mid-decade redistricting. According to the report, the change was meant to create a more conservative court. O'Hare and the court's more conservative members approved it 3-2, with Simmons and Precinct 1 Commissioner Roderick Miles opposed.

Other races on the ballot include Precinct 2, where Republican Tony Tinderholt faces Democrat Jared Williams. In Precinct 4, incumbent Republican Manny Ramirez faces Democrat Nydia Cardenas. Each Texas county has a five-member commissioners court that governs the county, including its hospitals, sheriff's office and other county offices. County judges serve four-year terms and are elected countywide.
