Law enforcement officials are conducting searches at several locations in Midlothian, in Ellis County. The Midlothian Police Department confirmed its detectives are assisting with the investigation, which spans four addresses. According to reports, the searches are taking place in the 4000 block of Wisteria, the 500 block of South 9th Street, the 2900 block of Eagles Nest and the 2500 block of Springer Road. Midlothian police said in a statement that there is no active threat to the public. The department asked for the public's patience and cooperation while the investigation continues. Because Midlothian police is not the lead agency, it would not release more details about the nature of the investigation.
