Dallas police are looking for a suspect in three shootings in Deep Ellum on Halloween night. Police said four people were killed and many more were injured. The violence unfolded over about 75 minutes.
The first shooting was reported around 12:20 a.m. Sunday in the 2600 block of Elm Street, police said. A second shooting followed at about 1:05 a.m. in the 2600 block of Main Street. The third was reported at roughly 1:35 a.m. in the 200 block of South Crowdus Street.
Security footage provided to FOX 4 shows a man in a camouflage hoodie in the 2600 block of Main Street at about 1:04 a.m. In the footage, he pulls a gun from his pants and later puts it away. Dallas Police Lt. Matthew Finley said the suspect began firing indiscriminately, injuring seven people.
Dallas police Chief Daniel Comeaux said the total number of injured, about 15, may change, because several people drove themselves to local hospitals. Comeaux said officers nearby ran toward the gunfire and performed life-saving measures, reviving at least one victim.
