Coldspring defeated the Crockett Lady Bulldogs 3-1 in a volleyball match played in Crockett. Crockett won the first set 25-18. Coldspring then won the second set 25-11, the third 25-17 and the fourth set to finish the match and complete a regular-season sweep of Crockett.
Coach Krista Jones called a timeout before the second set to talk with the team. The Lady Trojans then changed their lineup and approach, according to the story. Jones said the team has had a slow start and ups and downs this year, including a recent transfer and a player who stopped playing. "I'm really proud of this group of girls," Jones said.
Senior libero Kinsey Reynolds said the team came in wanting to win but gave up too many points. "We let them get a lot of points that they shouldn't have gotten," Reynolds said. "But at the end, we all work together, we all figured out a way."
