The San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division, working with the Texas Rangers, arrested Trevon Jones, 33, of Houston, in connection with burglaries at two Dollar General stores. The sheriff's office said three suspects allegedly burglarized the stores in Coldspring and New Waverly on June 27.
Investigators said Jones is charged with two counts of burglary of a building and engaging in organized criminal activity. Detectives arrested him on Thursday, with help from the Texas Rangers. Sheriff Sam Houston commended the cooperation between the agencies.
Two other suspects remain outstanding, the sheriff's office said. Anyone with information can call the Criminal Investigation Division at 936-653-4367, ext. 8, or submit tips anonymously through Multi-County Crime Stoppers. The sheriff's office said all suspects are innocent until proven guilty in court.
