A Midland County jury has sentenced Adrian Jimmy Stoglin, 46, to 50 years in prison on one felony charge of possession of cocaine, according to a news release from the Midland County District Attorney's Office.
The office said the charge is a second-degree felony that carries two to 20 years. Because of Stoglin's prior felony convictions, he was sentenced as a habitual offender, which carries 25 years to 99 years or life. The office said he will be eligible for parole after about 12 years.
The office said that on Dec. 14, 2025, Midland Police Department detectives and agents with the TAG – Permian Basin unit searched Stoglin's home as part of a narcotics investigation. It said they found over 130 grams of cocaine, packaged for distribution, in his bathroom. The office said Stoglin had not finished a sentence from a 2022 federal narcotics conviction at the time of the search.
Assistant District Attorneys Kane Handford and Dave McCracken prosecuted the case. It was assigned to the 238th District Court.
