A section of Northside Drive off Interstate 35W in Fort Worth is set to receive storm drain improvements in the coming months. Officials said at an Oct. 29 public meeting that the work may cause temporary traffic delays and affect travel along the commonly used corridor.

The $1.8 million project is part of the city's Stormwater Management Program. It is intended to reduce roadway overtopping during heavy rainfall.

Rebcon, the project's contractor, is set to begin construction in January 2027 and finish by the summer.
