About 20 people lined up at a Best Buy in Texarkana, Texas, to buy new video game releases, some after waiting for hours. The store held an old-school midnight release for the "Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" remake and a special edition 40th Anniversary Nintendo Switch 2 console. Both were officially released Thursday.

Austin Sharp said he arrived at 2 p.m. and had played earlier Zelda games. Cole Geiser said he wanted the Switch 2 console with its Zelda design and did not expect to get it any other way. Joel Ramirez said he played "Ocarina of Time" as a child and wanted to play it again, adding that he has seen good reviews.

The first "Legend of Zelda" game was released in February 1986 in Japan for the Family Computer Disk System, according to the report. "Ocarina of Time" first came out in November 1998 for the Nintendo 64, and was re-released for the Nintendo 3DS in June 2011.
