St. Peter & St. Paul Anglican Church of Arlington hosted its fourth annual Chili Cook-Off and Touch-a-Truck event. Proceeds will benefit Rescue Hill of Arlington, an organization that helps survivors of human trafficking.
The Arlington Police Department partnered with the church for the cook-off. The Arlington and Pantego fire departments also took part, letting attendees see fire trucks up close.
Church leaders said the event was also meant to build connections with the surrounding community. They described it as a chance to move beyond the church building and share the message of the Gospel.
