The Inside Out Foundation will hold its 15th Annual Women's Health Seminar on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2027, at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Banquet Hall, 1501 Mac Davis Lane in Lubbock. The Lubbock-based nonprofit invites women from Lubbock and surrounding communities to attend.
The seminar will cover two topics: the rise in autoimmune diseases and the role of exercise in maintaining strength, mobility and overall wellness as women age. Aslan Murphy, MSN, FNP-C, of Veritas Medical, will discuss why autoimmune diagnoses are increasing in the United States, possible underlying causes, and approaches to addressing these conditions. Victor DeLeon, fitness manager with Covenant Lifestyle, will address common ideas about exercise, including the "eat less, move more" approach, and offer guidance for older women on strength and reducing the risk of injury. Attendees can ask questions. Brandi Driggers will again serve as co-host.
Admission is $30 per person and includes breakfast. Limited VIP tables are also available. Alexis Arnold, co-founder and CEO of the foundation, said the seminar has helped bring women together to share health information for 15 years, and the group plans to keep its focus on topics relevant to women of all ages.
