KPRC 2 said the Halloween forecast for Houston is uncertain, with a chance of showers that could complicate plans. The station's current outlook calls for temperatures in the 70s Saturday evening and a 20% to 40% chance of rain. It described the weather as warm and humid.

The rain is linked to a small area of low pressure called a disturbance. KPRC 2 said these systems are hard to predict because of their small size. One of the station's long-range models shows the disturbance moving through Southeast Texas around noon Saturday, which would leave the evening in better shape for trick-or-treating. The station said this is only one model run and the timing could shift.

KPRC 2 said it will update the forecast daily as new information comes in.
