Officer Daniel Trujillo, 36, was found dead inside his apartment in Houston last Friday, according to the Taft Police Department. The department said Trujillo had served with it for three years.
Houston police said Trujillo was found with multiple gunshot wounds at his apartment on the 11070 block of Katy Freeway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Taft Police Department said Trujillo served the community with dedication and commitment, and that his loss is deeply felt by those who knew and worked with him. The department extended condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.
