The Fort Worth Board of Adjustment approved three vinyl signs to be placed on the rear wall of Texas Ballet Theater's facility along Green Oaks Boulevard in west Fort Worth. The designs were discussed at the board's Oct. 21 meeting.
The signs needed a variance because the proposed signage would be nearly 230 square feet larger than what is currently approved, according to the city's presentation. ASI Signage Innovations was the applicant. Brenden Tucker of The Projects Group represented the applicant, and Jill Caughron, the theater's executive director, spoke for the theater.
Caughron said the banners would add art to the community and help improve the area. She pointed to recent investments around the Ridgmar Mall area and the role of the Bass family in those investments. She also said the theater has had graffiti problems on the wall and that the signs would turn the blank wall into something more visible.
